ILG Founder – Amit Mehta
Amit Mehta began his career with Fortune 500 company Avery Dennison, where he rapidly progressed into senior leadership, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. During his ten years with the organisation, he developed a deep understanding of what drives successful businesses and high-performing teams.
He later built and expanded two private equity-backed businesses, gaining extensive experience in leadership, customer engagement, and organisational growth. As his own family grew, Amit sought an opportunity that combined commercial success with meaningful social impact. This led him to acquire and transform a group of struggling schools, helping secure their futures and preserving valuable educational opportunities for local communities.
Recognising the profound difference that excellent education can make, Amit founded the Inspired Learning Group in 2014. Since then, ILG has grown significantly, bringing together a diverse portfolio of independent schools and nurseries while maintaining a clear focus on educational quality, pupil wellbeing, and community engagement.
Today, Amit remains passionate about applying his business expertise to education. He works closely with school leaders, teachers, parents, and pupils to enhance educational outcomes, strengthen communities, and create environments where young people can thrive.
